There has to be a better headline.
Off-topic from the Young Professional-y radio posts you see around these parts, but I had to throw this up somewhere.
See the following screen shot from Sports Illustrated’s home page this morning:
The headline reads “Football Losing Fans?”
Now read the excerpt of the story they were referring to:
Tragedy has a way of placing sports in perspective. It feels so meaningless now. The draft, the games, the trophies, the bragging rights … they’re all diversions from our everyday lives until real life wreaks unimaginable devastation on far, far too many people. Your heart aches for those impacted by Wednesday’s tornadoes in Alabama. The accounts keep pouring in of death and destruction. Loved ones are missing. Photos and names get posted on TV and web sites as family members desperately search for them. They’re the kinds of pleas we’re used to seeing elsewhere, not here. This is our 9/11. This is our Katrina. We will get through this — slowly, eventually, together. But it’s brutal to watch, from Cullman to Tuscaloosa, from Pleasant Grove to Pratt City, and from so many other areas, some of which we might not fully know about yet.
I am *fairly* confident the angle of this story was not about college football “losing fans.” Pretty awful wording, SI.
It’s Lucky Bucket Week! It’s Lucky Bucket Week!

Every couple of months, we’re blessed to have the fine folks from Lucky Bucket Brewery and Solas Distillery join us for an hour of AM-radio magic. It goes a little something like this:
1. Show starts at 10:00 am.
2. Zac from Lucky Bucket brings beer into studio at 10:05
3. We drink beer
4. Zac talks about all the awesome stuff going on at Lucky Bucket
5. We drink more beer
6. The show sadly ends
7. We go home and nap
Pretty much the same will go this Saturday. And we’re going to touch on a couple hot topics…like why Lucky Bucket isn’t in the new Werner Park.
We’ll also be previewing two upcoming events:
1. The Final Thursday Tour Throwdown – It’s sad, but Lucky Bucket will no longer be giving tours on Thursdays after May 1. So, we’re going to throw a bash for their Last Thursday tour event. Stay tuned for details.
2. The Inaugural Lucky Bucket Run – A 7k running event, May 14. Yes, there will be beer.
Be sure to tune in!!!!!!!
That was way too many explanation points. Sorry.
